About Langa Hockey Club
Our History
Langa Hockey Club was established in 1987, making it a cornerstone of the Langa community. Over the years, we have nurtured talent and promoted the sport of hockey in a vibrant township of Cape Town.
The club has become a cornerstone of community building, providing not just sportsmanship but also mentorship, discipline, and leadership to countless young athletes over the years. Langa, which has faced various socio-economic challenges, is proud of its club, which serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for its residents. Many of the youth who have come through the club have gone on to represent the region at higher levels, fostering both a sense of pride and accomplishment within the community.
